Policy update: free tests now require a batch ID

By Raphaël Mazoyer, CEO, Finnrick

Free peptide test submissions now require a batch ID with photo evidence. Without batch IDs, published results can't be tied to a specific production run. Samples without batch IDs can still be tested through the private option or any paid add-on.

Finnrick now requires a batch ID with photo evidence for all free peptide testing submissions.

Without batch IDs, published test results have significantly reduced value to the public: there is no way to tie a result to a specific production run, and no way to make a meaningful comparison across tests.

Starting today, the free test submission form requires a batch ID and photographic evidence. This requirement is waived for samples with paid add-ons, but we still encourage submitters to provide that information.

If your sample does not have a batch ID, or you are unwilling to provide one, you can still proceed with testing by selecting the "private" option or any paid add-on.

Practically, this means that samples from vendors who do not provide batch IDs are no longer accepted in the free testing program. We encourage their customers to demand batch IDs: they are a basic feature of any serious quality approach, one that enables vendors and the public alike to participate meaningfully in quality assurance.

We expect this change to also reduce the cost of the free testing program, allowing us to focus on activities that deliver value to the public.

This policy applies to sample submissions currently under review. Finnrick staff manually reviews all submissions and our decision is final.
