How we calculate turnaround times
Turnaround time is measured from the date Finnrick receives your sample to the date results are emailed to you. We report three percentiles from recent completed tests:
- Median
- Half of all samples are completed faster than this.
- 90th percentile
- 90% of samples are completed within this many days.
- 95th percentile
- Only 5% of samples take longer than this.
We prefer to use the most recent 28-day window of data. If there aren't enough completed samples in that window (at least 10 tested samples with fewer than 20% still pending), we widen to 90 days or use all historical data. The "Window" column shows which time range was used for each row.
Results are grouped by lab and test configuration because different labs and test types have different processing times. Extra tests like endotoxins or heavy metals generally take longer than a standard purity/identity test, and certain extended products incur processing delays because they depend on specific lab equipment.
These calculations represent the actual total processing times for recent tests, but they are not a guarantee of future turnaround times. If you submit a sample today, your experience will vary depending on lab capacity at the time they receive your sample, holidays, sample volume, and other operational factors.
