- Your email address
- Information you provide about test requests
- Your preferences for content update notifications
How we use your information
We use this information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Process your test requests
- Send you content updates based on your preferences

Third-party services
User identification
We use Clerk to manage user identification. This allows you to:
- Log in using social media accounts for your convenience
- When you use social login features, you are subject to that platform's privacy policies
- Finnrick does not control how these platforms use your data
Their privacy policy is available at clerk.com/legal/privacy. Clerk sets cookies when signing in or signing up for a Finnrick account. This cannot be disabled.
These cookies are required for Clerk to function and to access your Finnrick account, and should not be blocked. They do not store any personally identifiable information.
Website analytics
We use a cookieless analytics service that:
- Does not track you across different devices
- Does not follow you to other websites
- Only collects anonymous usage data to help us improve our website
Data sharing
Finnrick never sells customer data.
We will not share your information with third parties except:
- When required by law
- With service providers who help us operate our website (like Clerk), for the exclusive purpose of delivering the agreed service.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will notify you by:
- Posting the new policy on our website
- Sending an email to the address associated with your account

If you have questions about this privacy policy, please contact us at privacy@finnrick.com.
Memberships and Accounts
The following additional disclosures apply to accounts and paid memberships on this site.
What we collect
- Account data — email address and sign-in credentials, managed by our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Billing data — payments are processed by Stripe; Finnrick never sees or stores your card number. We store your email, plan, and subscription status to grant access.
- Usage data — standard server logs (IP, requested pages) for security and performance, and per-account download counts to enforce report quotas.
- Sample submissions — details you provide when submitting a sample for free testing (vendor, product, shipping country, satisfaction ratings).
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with the vendors we test. Published test results never identify the submitter.
Processors
We use Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and networking), Neon (database), and Resend (transactional email such as purchase reminders and receipts). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and your rights
Account and billing records are kept while your account exists and as required for tax and accounting. To access, correct, or delete your data, email support@finnrick.com from the address on the account. Deleting your account removes your personal data except records we're legally required to keep.
