Peptide Identity, Purity & Quantity Testing
What Identity / Purity / Quantity testing checks
Confirms it’s the right compound, at full strength, and only this compound — by HPLC.
Required Basic testing. Complete Custom orders including this test start at $79 per sample. Product and lab selections determine the total.
This is the core of every Finnrick test. We send your sample to a commercial analytical lab for HPLC analysis, which answers three questions at once: is it the compound the label claims (identity), is it free of other peptides and contaminants (purity), and did you actually receive the amount of active ingredient you paid for (quantity)?
HPLC is the standard analytical method for peptide characterization, used across research institutions and commercial labs worldwide. Your result comes back as a formal Certificate of Analysis (COA) documenting exactly what was found.
Why it matters for peptides
Gray-market peptides, often sourced from online distributors, can be evaluated through independent identity, purity, and quantity testing. The results give the public consistent data for comparing products and evaluating vendor performance.
Across multiple samples and batches, this evidence helps identify vendors that provide consistent quality. The public can use it to make better-informed, safer decisions.
Peptides we test the most
Identity / Purity / Quantity testing availability depends on the compound and selected lab. These are the peptides Finnrick has published the most results for:

How Finnrick publishes results
Finnrick publishes results when we can establish sample provenance and have enough evidence that the sample represents the product sold by the named vendor. Published results include vendor and product details, helping customers evaluate the available evidence and encouraging better supply-chain decisions.
Results that do not meet these requirements are shared with the requester and kept outside the public record. Read how Finnrick decides which results to publish →
Don’t want to share sample details?
The Confidential option costs an additional $120 per sample in Custom, on top of Basic testing, any product surcharge and selected tests. Standard already includes Confidential. Results are shared with you and not published publicly.
Frequently asked questions
What does an identity, purity and quantity test actually measure?
HPLC separates the contents of your sample so the lab can confirm the compound matches the label (identity), measure the percentage that is the intended peptide versus impurities (purity), and quantify how much active ingredient is present versus the labeled amount (quantity).
Is this test included for free?
Basic analysis is required for every test. Community testing is free only for eligible products and samples, subject to publication requirements. The Custom lane includes the lab's Basic fee, any product surcharge and selected extras. The Confidential option costs extra in that lane and is included in Standard.
What method do you use?
HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography), typically HPLC-UV or HPLC-MS depending on the compound and the partner lab. It is the standard technique for peptide identity and potency.
Required Basic testing. Complete Custom orders including this test start at $79 per sample. Product and lab selections determine the total.
